AI groups reporting by region and topic, then summarizes observable patterns. It is instructed not to infer public opinion or reduce an entire region to a positive or negative label.
A headline sample is not a scientific opinion poll, a complete news index, or a verdict about lived conditions. Coverage gaps are labeled as limitations rather than filled with speculation.
Every headline is attributed and links to the originating report. Frontend code reads a public, sanitized cache. Feed refreshes run through an administrator-controlled backend workflow, with no secrets exposed to visitors.
These publishers provide the initial signal set. Inclusion does not mean endorsement, and no single source determines a regional classification.

Current regions include Global, North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania. Country and place references help route a headline into one or more relevant regions.
East Asia includes China, Japan, and Korea. South Asia includes India and neighboring countries. Southeast Asia includes the Philippines and Vietnam. Oceania includes Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific nations.
Each regional signal is assigned one of five states. These describe activity in the sampled reporting, not a judgment of a country or people.

Significant ongoing developments with multiple corroborating reports.
Developing
A story is emerging or gaining traction; the picture is still forming.
Steady
Stable coverage with no major shifts in the sampled window.
Mixed
Conflicting signals or multiple unrelated developments within the region.
Coverage Gap
Insufficient source coverage to support an analysis this cycle.
Confidence is High, Medium, or Low based on three factors: the number of supporting headlines, the diversity of publishers, and the clarity of the development. A single headline from one publisher yields Low confidence; corroborated reporting across multiple publishers yields higher confidence.
The Global Pulse cache refreshes hourly through an administrator-controlled backend workflow, separate from the 30-minute RSS headline cache refresh. Each signal carries a generation timestamp and expires after 6 hours. If a refresh fails validation, the previous valid dataset is retained until the next successful cycle.
When a source is found to be misattributed, a link is broken, or a classification is inaccurate, the correction preserves the original record, explains what changed, and improves the future method. Report concerns via the contact link below.
