Sindh Softball Association on Thursday announced the provincial women’s squad for the Essa Lab 15th National Women’s Softball Championship, set to take place in Karachi from December 2 to 4 at the KMC Sports Complex Football Ground on Kashmir Road, according to the press release.
According to the announcement, Mercline Perwaiz has been appointed as the team captain, while Kainat Khan will serve as the vice-captain. Faraz Ejaz has been designated as the head coach, and Naheed Liaquat will perform duties as the team manager.
The squad includes the following players:
Deesha Ramesh, Syeda Rutaba Nadir, Ameena Mushtaq, Hiba Siddiqui, Mahnoor Farooq, Eliya Batool, Noor Atka, Tulsi Maheqwar, Laiba Shoora, Aina, Suzaine Bhatti, Maliha Firdous, Farasha Ahlam, Ifra, and Doha.
Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah, President of the Sindh Softball Association on the occasion said the championship offers a significant platform for the province’s women athletes to demonstrate their talent and competitive spirit.
“This championship is a golden opportunity for women athletes of Sindh to showcase their skills and represent the province with pride,” he said, according to the press release.
The tournament will feature top women’s teams from across the country competing over three days in Karachi.
