Sean” Diddy” Combs ‘ federal sex trafficking trial is reportedly going to end in a few days, with his defense only expected to be heard.
After his attorney predicted a security assessment lasting as little as two weeks and a prosecutor said jury could begin proceedings as early as next year, the possibility that song tycoon Sean” Diddy” Brushes might testify at his federal sex trafficking test all but vanished on Tuesday.
Judge Arun Subramanian asked the defense counsel for an estimation on the length of the event, and lawyer Marc Agnifilo gave the hint, stating that their briefing could be as short as two weeks, but no longer than five.
It was probable that Combs ‘ testimony would last longer than a year if he testified. Two of his previous girlfriends ‘ witness sat through the prosecution’s six months.
Combs, 55, has entered a not-guilty plea to criminal conspiracy and sex trafficking costs. Since his September imprisonment at a Manhattan hotel, he has been imprisoned at a federal prison in Brooklyn.
Lawyers were scheduled to sleep as early as Wednesday and not later than Friday morning, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey.
The estimations were made available on Tuesday after the furious assess criticized defense attorneys and prosecutors, alleging that a media channel had leaked information about a sealed court moving involving a judge last Friday.
The prosecutor claimed that he thought a witness to the court hearing had violated his confidentiality. Subramanian said he would keep Comey and Agnifilo accountable for any errors in the future and that legal contempt could be imposed on them “at the most intense level” for breaking his orders.
He said,” This is the only warning I will give.”
In addition, lawyers resumed showing judges data on Tuesday, supporting the allegations that Combs oversaw a criminal crime that involved his partners and his reputation in the hip-hop market to help him control and abuse ladies, including two former girlfriends, through text messages, phone calls, and hotel records.
Ex-girlfriends Casandra” Cassie” Ventura and a person who testified under the surname” Janet” testified for judges to claim that Combs coerced them into repeated, multi-day sexual sports where he watched, directed, and occasionally filmed them engaging with adult sex workers.
Prosecutors claim that defense attorneys intended to prosecute for attempting to criminalize consenting sex between adults by focusing on Combs.
Ventura and Combs had a 10-year relationship, while Jane had one from 2021 until his arrest last fall.
