Major (retired) Adil Raja. SCREENGRAB

The London High Court has ruled in favor of former Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer in a defamation case filed against YouTuber and former Major Adil Raja, declaring all his allegations false, baseless, and malicious.

Express News reported that the court ruled the allegations made by Adil Raja in June 2022 were not supported by acceptable evidence and were based solely on slander for character assassination.

According to the ruling, the London High Court has directed Adil Raja to pay £50,000 (Rs1.87 million) in damages to Brigadier Naseer, in addition to covering legal costs.

The court also ordered him to immediately pay £260,000 (Rs9.72 million) as interim expenses. It stated that all financial obligations must be settled by December 22, 2025.

The court further ordered that Adil Raja display a summary of the judgment prominently on all his social media platforms for 28 days. Additionally, an injunction was issued to prevent him from repeating false allegations in the future.

According to the court’s order, failure to comply with the judgment could lead to contempt of court charges, a fine, and potential imprisonment.

The court emphasised that all narratives related to the Punjab elections, alleged meetings, and “regime change” were unfounded and had no basis in fact.

The judgment also stated that these false allegations were an attempt to damage Brigadier (retd) Rashid Naseer’s reputation. The court prohibited the repetition of several “sensitive allegations” and declared any future mention of them illegal.

The ruling also includes the instruction that the link and summary of the court order be clearly displayed on every platform to ensure the public receives accurate information.
