Voters in New York’s future regional elections will have the opportunity to cast ballots for up to five of their favorite candidates for governor and other races as they approach the polls. A fairly new technique, which was introduced in New York following a vote in 2019, has gained in popularity across the U.S. The Indypendent‘s editor-in-chief, John Tarleton, who closely follows the New York gubernatorial election, says that “it gives voters more choices and more energy in determining the best champion of an election.”
Election time is June 24; early voting is already taking place in New York.
