June 15th is more than just a day. It is a party of independence that celebrates Black people’s sacrifice, pleasure, and brilliance. Black communities across the country are showing up and showing up in a time when institutions and organizations are trying to remove our history from books with live music, story, clothing, education, and defiant happiness for Juneteenth. There’s a way for everyone to get outside and soak up the sun, or stream down from your sofa with a dish of picnic.
