In a new multi-million-dollar complaint filed by a former Tyler Perry star, the actor behind the billionaire film and television tycoon, Perry’s attorney calls the claim a “scam”
According to TMZ, Derek Dixon claims that while Perry, 55, allegedly made unintended sexual advances in text messages, the young actor stayed in the” Straw” creator’s Atlanta guest house.
Dixon, who played” Dale” in BET’s” The Oval,” alleges that Perry had previously invited him to his house and that the Hollywood mogul had constantly touched him without his permission. The actor claimed that if he openly rejected Perry’s admitted advances, that his career would suffer.
Dixon claims that he first met Perry when the writer, director, and producer reportedly picked him out of a group in 2019 and inquired about his range. He claims that Perry after cast him in two bouts of Perry’s TV line” Ruthless” and suggested he have an operating responsibility for him.
Dixon claims that Perry invited him to his Atlanta apartment in 2020 after claiming he drank too much and spent the night in a tourist room. He alleges that Perry began touching his thighs after he claims he rejected the claim. However, Perry is accused of continuing to show his attention and to exchange” sexually paid” texts for years.

Dixon’s complaint mentions additional events, such as another admitted 2020 meeting at Perry’s house, where he allegedly asked Dixon if he “likes it hard in sleep.” Dixon claims that Perry grabbed his throat and said,” Look how excited you just got.
Dixon claims Perry came into the guest house to say goodbye in another alleged affair in June 2021. When Perry reportedly pulled down his underwear and grabbed his hips, the actor claimed he was only wearing his underpants. Dixon claims that Perry instructed him to “relax and just let it materialize” and that he had been assured that it wouldn’t hurt. Dixon says he may change the subject to prevent things from getting any worse and that he would reject Perry’s advances in each event.
Dixon apparently complained to the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024 as a result of the alleged situations. He also resigned from his position on” The Oval,” saying he couldn’t stand the alleged sexual abuse.
In the lawsuit, Dixon accuses Perry and Tyler Perry Studios of physical abuse, abuse, power, quid pro quo, and workplace sexual harassment, Dixon is now suing Perry for problems.
The complaints have been vehemently refuted by Tyler Perry’s lawyer, Matthew Boyd.
Boyd claimed that this person “got nearer to Tyler Perry for what appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam.” Tyler won’t be shaken down, and we know that these fabricated abuse claims won’t be true.
